Privacy Policy

Tend is a personal goals-and-tasks app made by Profound Bytes. This page explains what data Tend handles and why. The short version: your data exists to run the app for you — there are no ads, no trackers, no analytics SDKs, and your data is never sold or shared for marketing.

What Tend stores

• Account: your email address and name, provided by the sign-in service you choose (Google or Apple). Tend never sees your passwords.
• Your content: the goals and tasks you create — names, descriptions, schedules — and your completion and deferral history.
• Settings: your timezone and reminder preferences.
• Usage: simple counts such as days opened, used for in-app streaks. No advertising or cross-app tracking of any kind.

AI processing

When you add a goal or task, the text you type is sent to an AI service provider — currently Anthropic — to classify it and suggest scheduling. Your name, email, and account identifier are never sent. Under the provider’s API terms this data is not used to train their models. Please avoid typing information you would not want processed this way.

Where your data lives

Tend’s database and authentication are hosted by Supabase, and its server runs on Railway. All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS), and the database is encrypted at rest by the hosting provider. If a service provider changes in the future, this page will be updated to name the current one.

Deletion and retention

Your data is kept only while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time inside the app — Settings → Account → Delete account — which permanently and immediately removes your account and all goals, tasks, and history. If you signed in with Apple, Tend also revokes its Sign in with Apple access at that moment.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Turning them off in Settings (or in your device settings) stops them entirely.

Children

Tend is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If Tend’s data practices change, this page will be updated with a new effective date.
